I added an update to the bottom of the original post. My only complaint is that it is hard to get out of the tray. But it makes good ice with no plastic taste so I'm happy with it. If you've gone 4 years without ice I'd say buy it! Even if it isn't perfect, you'll still be able to enjoy ice during the summer! Mamu,
